Visit A Museum While You’re Stuck At Home

Social distancing has many of us stuck at home wondering how to pass the time. Whether you are homeschooling your children or trying to keep yourself entertained, these world renown and local museums are offering a welcomed solution. From the Guggenheim in New York City to the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, take a virtual trip across the world without leaving your couch.

According to The Inquirer, Google Arts & Culture has partnered with more than 2,500 museums of different sorts around the world to present thematic slideshows, detailed discussion of single works, and museum walk-throughs.

Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien – Vienna, Austria

Vienna’s Kunsthistorisches Museum, one of the largest in the world, has a vast collection anyone would be amazed to see. However, they offer only 1 story during the virtual tour, BUT, it is an important discussion of Johannes Vermeer’s The Art of Painting. Definitely check it out.

The Helen Farr Sloan Library & Archives houses over 38,000 volumes and 2,000 linear feet of archives related to the permanent collection.
